My name is Deb Chapman. From 1998 until 2018 I was President of RACERS AGAINST DRUGS in San Diego, CA. We took racecars to schools and other youth-based organizations and provided presentations to students about making good choices and choosing to live their lives drug free. I was a racer at Cajon Speedway for 8 years. With the help of the track, we became a 501©3 nonprofit organization. We provided our service to over 20,000 children each year. During those 20 years RAD was acknowledged by the State Senate and received Leadership awards in 2007 and 2014 from a major TV network. RAD was on the news frequently and I was able to spread RAD’s message over the years as a guest both on local TV and Radio shows. RAD was a labor of love for me for many reasons, most importantly, to stop as many children as possible from making bad choices that would affect their entire lives. This is why we have started the PACE program. Since moving to North Carolina we have seen the severity of drugs and bullying here as well and decided to carry on with our mission to stop even one child from the disease of addiction or from the devastation of bullying.
